Demonstration held under the leadership of Dr. Udit Raj to mark 'Religious Freedom Day' and condemn the violence against Christians
The National Chairman of All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations called upon that the religious freedom is fundamental right. He said, Dr. Ambedkar embraced Buddhism on 14th October, 1956 at Nagpur alongwith his hundreds of thousands of followers. It's golden jubilee was celebrated in 2006 and All India Christian Council led by Dr. Joseph D'souza and All India Confederation of SC/ST Organisations jointly decided to mark this day, i.e., 14th October of each year, 'World Religious Freedom Day.' Today at Jantar Mantar these both organizations celebrated the 'World Religious Freedom Day' and important leaders like John Dayal, Madhu Chandra, Suresh Dewan, Kaliram Tomar participated and expressed their views.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Udit Raj told that the overall scenario of the country is not in good health. Christians served this country in many ways and most importantly in the fields of education and health. Mr. Lal Krishna Advani and most of successful people, be it in law, academics, and media or in business once upon a time studied in Christian schools. Why they were not converted to Christianity? Conversion is taking place due to serious problems within the caste system. Today also, Dalits are carrying human excreta on their heads and as soon as such people get little aware, can they still live in Hinduism? Certainly not. The worries of Bajrang Dal and VHP should be to correct their own system and the conversion will be automatically stopped. He condemned the violence against Christians and demanded to ban these organizations. In what way they are better than the terrorists and hence ban is suitable measure.
The incident of Batala House, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi, has created confusion and suspicion in the minds of minorities and secular forces and in order to build the confidence in them, it is most appropriate to go for judicial probe so that it could be known whether the police encounter was fake or real. Why government is wavering?
Yesterday, NIC met in Balyogi Auditorium, Parliament House, New Delhi and this was inaugurated by the Prime Minister. Dr. Udit Raj was the first speaker and at the outset he said that casteism is sometimes more dangerous than communalism. Since caste and identity divisions and rhetoric's was suggested by Dr. Udit Raj at the time of finalization of agenda, therefore, he was most appropriate member to speak on the danger of caste politics. Caste politics outweighs development, education, health and also encourages the leaders of the caste to do anything in order to capture the power. Caste politics has indirect bearings on society and its ill affects like poverty, health, corruption, illiteracy, have far reaching impact. Communalism affects individual and their properties.
